Our SIA Security Officer / SIA Door supervisor course is now only £150 or £200 if you book two places, that's only £100 per person, meaning that two people can get back to work for less. And with the security industry growing at such a rate, employment isn't very far away.

We don't just want to be a training company that trains you and then forgets about you, we try our utmost to help find you work during and after the course, with regular updates via text, Facebook and word of mouth. We also put local job adverts on our web pages to help find employment. Current rates of pay for SIA security officers are between £6 - £11 an hour and for SIA door supervisors between £8 - £15 an hour.

To work as a SIA door Supervisor or SIA Security Guard in the UK you will need to have an SIA licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). One of the requirements of the SIA licence is that you hold a recognised qualification, and the BTEC Level 2 National Certificate for door Supervisors from EDEXCEL meets the requirement for the SIA Licence. The SIA door Supervisors course is run over four days and has 28 hours of tuition and 2 hours of exams. The exams consist of two multiple-choice papers. NOTE: If you work as a door Supervisor or security officer without an SIA licence you are liable up to a fine of £5000 and/or up to 6 months in prison. We run the door supervisors course every two weeks in Gosport near Portsmouth and Southampton Who is the door supervisors training for? New entrants to the security industry and those who are returning to it having previously worked prior to the introduction of SIA licensing in 2004. Everyone will need to undertake the SIA training to be able to apply for the SIA licence. The SIA recognised Level 2 National Certificate for door Supervisors will enable you to apply to the SIA for a Door Supervisor licence, and by obtaining this SIA licence you will increase your employment opportunities. Although the course syllabus will provide you with the basic knowledge needed to pass the exams, our instructors will also demonstrate to you the real life practicalities of being a SIA Door Supervisor or SIA Security Guard, so that when you eventually start work you will feel much more confident in your new role. Communication and conflict management for security officers and door supervisors Part 2 (2 day Conflict Management(CM)) Communication skills introduction to communication skills and conflict management self-awareness avoiding conflict effective communication and customer service skills recognising and defusing conflict maintaining space defusing high risk conflict resolving and learning from conflict. Conflict management What is the length of the course? 4 Days What is the Cost of the course? £150 per candidate inc vat and certificate Where is the course held? Gosport, near Portsmouth and Southampton. PO12 4LJ What is the Cost of a Licence? The licence application fee is £245 for a three year licence. The fee is to cover the cost of processing your application and is not refundable. If you pay your own licence fee you will be able to claim tax relief against your taxable income. For example, if you pay the basic rate of tax the relief is worth £53.90. If you are an employer paying the licence fee on behalf of an employee there will be no tax or National Insurance liability. Some security operatives may need more than one licence; in such cases the second licence will be discounted by 50%. So if you already hold an SIA licence in Door supervision or Security the the Licence cost will be £122.50.
